I'm still here
I just let myself get run down and had to step away from the blogs and news for a while.
I've been keeping myself busy by creating some new recipes and learning how to bake different kinds of breads, make pizza dough, cakes and other desserts.
I'll share some of the recipes later this week.

I've been wanting to make sourdough...got as far as collecting starter recipes.
look forward to seeing what you've cooked up.
I love to cook, but I'm no baker. One has to be too precise to bake. I admire those who have the patience for that. Cheers Hammer!!
I've been thinking about ya Hammer... Glad you're doing okay and looking forward to the recipes.
*hugs* I'm going on vaca. So I'll have a much needed break also. Thinking of ya!
I'm glad to hear you're ok and look forward to seeing what you've come up with in the kitchen!
I love to bake but never had much success with breads. My husband did well though. Wonder what the trick is.
I was shown how to make Sicilian pizza once. The dough was very simple - just a basic bread I think - rip off small balls to make personal pizza sized pies, spread with the toppings (no meat) then fried to cook them. Tasty. Don't recall how the top got cooked though. hmmm maybe it just does.
I have an opening here at the H20 household...No need to apply. Come on down.
Glad to hear from you, I love to cook, but I don't know anything with dough, pizza dough or any bread recipes, so I'm looking forward your recipes, I've never even done a good pancakes dough something everyone knows how to do.
Yes, at least I know how to do an apple tart.
Take it easy and eat what you fix!
Glad to hear you are taking care of you! Prepare and eat those comfort foods!!!
We are a patiently following!

Be well. :)
Sorry to hear you got run down. But sounds like you are being positive by keeping busy.
Perk up and share soon! Ok?
Glad you're back!
Good to see that you are ok! :)
Take care of you!
No one will do it better.
The hell with the reciepes, where do you live, I don't want to do the work!
Seriously, get better.
Well I was wondering what became of you. What time is dinner?
Cool! Bring the food. Don't tease a fat man. It's WRONG!
MMMMn, yummy! Nothing better than freshly baked bread, right out of the oven and with lots of REAL butter on it too! Do you use a bread baker or do you make yours via the traditional route? And if you use the old-fashioned method, do you like rye bread?
If so, and if you'd like a great recipe for Swedish Limpa Rye bread, drop me a note as I have one that has never failed to turn out great for me! The hardest part of making it now is finding rye flour around where I live! My son-in-law had never had Swedish Rye bread before until I started making this (it's a recipe that was my great-aunt's so it probably originated with my great-grandmother) and from the first batch of this stuff, my son-in-law is first in line to grab fresh slices of this product. He even eats it without butter but I consider that to be sacrilege!
Let me know -be glad to share the recipe with you.
I'll pass those recipes on to my husband when you post them. He is the cook in the family. I really do hope that you are feeling better.
hammer - take the mend and be well - my husband is the carbohydrate maker in the family - bread his specialty - will pass your recipes on to him.
we're all sick to tears of the news - you just happen to be the smart one in this mess.
Well, hell! I knew there was something missing in my life but I couldn't figure out what it was...it was your blog! Mmmmm pizza dough recipes!
Hammer,
Glad to hear you are still at it...suffering from blogger burnout? yeah, I might be getting there as well.
just happy you're okay, mate.
