Random stuff

I'm trying to get back on a sleep schedule. I'm not sure what messed it up, but I've hit the wall so to speak. Walking around like a zombie is not all that it's cracked up to be.

My mother called me last night to ask who I was voting for. I probably talk to her every six months.. if that.. so this must have been weighing heavily on her mind.

I just said, I'll probably vote for the first female vice president...then I gritted my teeth and waited for her to give me the Obamalicious messiah speech. Surprisingly, she said that this will be the first time since 1968 that she will be voting Republican.

After I woke up and climbed back into my chair, I heard her say, "Obama has no idea how to run a country and there is no way I can vote for a socialist."

Weird stuff.

I just can't wait for this election to be over with.

Six months! Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Cheers

Try chamomile tea to calm you down enough to sleep. That or warm milk. They both work.

Have an awesome day.

Good morning, Hammer!
Actually, I find lighting a lavender candle and sitting down for a little while with my buddy, Jack helps sleep to come.
Being the mom of two adult sons...I will remain silent...that mother/son relationship is a tricky road at times. (if you ever want some mom-insight, let me know)
As for the ads...I am jotting down the address to go back in time... don't care much about the safety issue..I'll step off that train in the mid-seventies...won't ride to the Alamo or anything silly!

The dreaded insomnia...I know how awful that is. The only thing that worked for me was waiting it out and killing myself with physical labor.

I used to wake up at night, and cried all night long. Then it stopped suddenly, and now I'm fine, maybe my yoga helped and meditation, not sure.
Your jokes are really funny, love them.

I'M headed to re-registar TOMORROW. I just check my card and it's expired.

I would rather have someone who can't e-mail due to injuries for Nam then someone WHO the European Countries are demanding we vote into office.

We saved Europe's ass twice, so now they believe we owe them Obama. Why don't we just Dog-crate his ass up and ship it to them. Postage due, of course.

Not Sleeping--
I don't get to sleep before 0300 and sleep {if I'm lucky} to 0700. Most times there are at least 2 sandbox trips during this time. This has been going on for about 2 months now. I sure would like this to be over because that's just not enough sleep time.

Loved the pics. Expecially the first one. What a way to end a really GOOD TIME.

If I drank 5-6 Vodka & oj's, you might as well dig a 4x6 hole in the ground because that much booze and I would be needing it......

10 to 12 ounces of Vodka will definitely do the trick ==

I go through bouts of insomina too. Suuuuuuucks.

My husband had a similar conversation with two of his clients yesterday-- both Dems-- who are voting McCain. Interesting to say the least. I'll be glad when this is over too.

This year I putting my many accounts in T-Bills for at least I don't have to pay taxes on them!

Hammer, I've been an insomniac forever. I can't fall asleep before 1am, usually closer to 2am, and have to get up everyday around 6:30AM. I live on 5 hours sleep a night...total zombie state, indeed.

Regarding Obamessiah, my mother will also be breaking ranks for the first time to vote for McPalin. She despises Obama for dissing her Hillary, thinks he is a double-talking terrorist lover, and wants the female VP to win.

I don't get the US system, it's different from the French or British. With my tiny little knowledge, I like Obama, but not that my opinion matters. It's probably for the best if you and your mom are on the same side, it should not matter what reasons are behind it.
