apologies
Sorry I haven't been around this week. I've been recovering from a spider bite. Had to go to the hospital when it started to spread. They gave me some antibiotics and I'm starting to feel better.
I hope to be back to normal in a day or two.

Helluva deal. I've known people who had been bit by black widows, and they were pretty sick for a while.
musta been one of them brown recluse spiders..they can be nasty. Hope everything is okay now

I'm so sorry to hear that happened, but VERY glad you're on the mend.
Please take care, though, Hammer, as sometimes a secondary respiratory infection will set in after a spider bite---important to finish all the anitbiotics, even if you're feeling better.

Damn, good thing you went too, could have been that flesh eatin' bacteria thing! Some say that's how it first presents.

CURE FOR SPIDER BITES:
a few years ago, my husband was bit by what may have been a brown recluse on his wrist - it at first festered up like a boil and was painful - he took a black walnut still in its shell and hull - sawed it in half - put the fleshy side to the bite - ducttaped it to his arm and wore it that way for a couple of days.
when he took the tape, walnut and all the hair on that part of his arm - it was as though he hadn't been bitten AT ALL - all that was there was the deep green to black walnut stain. no scar, no marks.
amazing.
