Monday

I had a fancy "how to" post I was working on, but blogger is not cooperating with the pictures I took. So I'll come back to that later.

The kids start school in one week. I'm going to miss them, but it will give me a chance to get some projects done. I've also got a huge backlog of Robert Heinlein and John Scalzi books I haven't read yet.

The boy gets new glasses today, the wife doesn't trust me to pick out the frames so she's taking him to the appointment. I don't see what's wrong with the black plastic ones....just kidding.

I want to get back into taking pictures, I was having fun with it earlier this year, I've also got some ideas for photo shop as well.

Here is one I took last night for one of my projects

I think I've got the blog feeds problem licked. I didn't realize until now that I'm up to reading about 179 or so. I don't always have something witty to say, but rest assured if you're on my side bar I'm at least lurking.

If you're not on my side bar links, send me a message and I'll get it fixed right away.

I also wanted to say thanks to all you folks who stop in and read the silly crap that comes out of my keyboard.

Cheers!

Update: I was inspired by flyinfox's post this morning and came up with this:

It's we who should be thanking you, Hammer, for brightening our day.

Along with photographs, we're also due, I think, for a wacky little video...please?

Beast: Thanks for warning me. I usually don't change operating systems until forced to.

Deborah: I'm scouring about 60 hours of radio shows looking for the right song..stay tuned :)

GuyK: They are odd looking aren't they? The local powder horn had cowboy style bullets on sale. I bought 500 to get started, I've got 15,000 empty .38 special and .357 magnum cases to load up.
Eventually....

I know you're there dude, you don't have to say something every time...I know how it is trying to keep up with a lot of reads. But you are one I look forward to, so maybe that's the pressure we all feel.

Snowmanpoop: Sure is :)

Flat nose hard cast .38? What sort of project are you working on? I've reloaded literally thousands of 38 and 357 cartridges, and always have an interest in what other people are doing.

Jeannie: the pictures were postage stamp sized and I couldn't change them, so I'm going to host them somewhere and try again later.

kate: those polar bears are a menace :)

kat: I just use 2 tbs oil in the mix and that seems to help. I'll post mine soon.

tweety: I liked doing homeschooling but it is a challenge.

bobg: I made a reloading how to for the blog but the pics got messed up. My favorite .38 target load is 5 grains unique over a 158g semi wadcutter. The bullets shown are made for cowboy action shooting. I'm waiting to see if there is any difference in accuracy.

meleah: Except this year I've got 3 sets of homework to do :)

mcewen: If blogs were made out of wires and metal I would be much better off, but all these nebulous html things are like gobblety goop to me :) actually the capsules are .357 bullets.

random: Thanks for reading my silly crap :)

lamb: I get tongue tied at times, maybe that's finger tied...

scarlet: You're going to steal my bike? Or did you want a new caption too? :D

Jenny: the beat up thing is definitely a consideration, I don't know how I missed so many links, I think I addd them then forget to hit save or something.

flyinfox: Got to give credit where credit is due :)

oe: Yes he is, but I'm still on his 1941 stuff.
