Quick update
Sorry for the lack of visits and updates. I'm still trying to get better. The doctor gave me a steroid shot and it seems to be working. This is the sickest I've been in at least 20 years.
I've spent the last 2 weeks in a recliner guzzling several different medications. Not sure if they are worth a damn or not.
Thanks again for the well wishes. I can't wait to get back to normal blogging

Hello! So sorry to hear you've been sick. My grandson spent 2 nights in the hospital having tests and getting meds. Came home with a nebulizer...albuterol treatments every 4 hours... and prednisone too. Little guy sounds a bit better now, but still has to see the Doc again this week.
It's nice you have a great family to help nurse you back to good health! :)
get all the rest and meds you can! We'll still be here when you get back. Feel better Hammer!

It's a really nasty cold/flu/pneumonia bug, Hammer. They seem to be outsmarting the antibioitics and shots every year, and keeping people down longer...

We faithfully come everyday to see what's up. I must say I was starting to seriously get concerned about your health. Take care of yourself, take all the medecines they give, one is good for you. Get well fast, miss you buddy.
That must be some bug! Hope you're being well taken care of over there. The blogesphere will still be here when ya get back - you just focus on getting better!

My mom ended up in the hospital for a week with pneumonia in both lungs over the summer. She almost didn't make it...
It's scary.
Take care of yourself, Hammer, and if you don't feel like you're getting any better, get yourself to a hospital ASAP.
I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I think sitting in a recliner guzzling beverage is the perfect way to cure whatever ails you...
The recliner is precisely where you need to be for a good long while, now. Take it easy and ramp up activity VERY gradually - pnemonia has weakened you in ways you can't imagine. I hope you have a speedy and thorough recovery, but don't try to force it.
Hammer, whatever the medication they always seem better with a Hot Toddy.
