This and that.
Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I haven't had much time to blog the last few days so I'll give a quick rundown.
Jenny the world famous septic tank diving donkey is doing fine and smells much better.
She is camera shy, but I'll try to get a pic of her this week.
Dad is dealing with extreme bullshit from his spouse. I'ts been this way since he retired, she is certifiably nuts and he knows it, but since he's been crippled for the last two years he feels trapped. I told him I would help all I can but I think he's reluctant to put me in that situation.
Now Samantha is refusing to take him to his doctors appointments and since he has another knee surgery scheduled it looks like I'll be the go to guy, unless she backs off again and settles down. Luckily he has a few other friends and fellow veterans who live close by that check in on him from time to time.
Dad keeps saying he's going to get a divorce, but since he has always had poor relationships with women and that combined with PTSD somehow prevents him from following through.
Oh well we'll see what happens.

Can you either dispell or confirm the picture I have in my head of your step-mother as being a young, psycho, gold-digging type who is only sticking around to collect on your dad's pension?
I want to kick her face in and I don't even know her. I just need to know what kind of face I should be imagining my boot-clad food making contact with. lol
I hate people like your step mother. I am sorry but people like her shouldnt be able to live. I agree with allie d. I think anyone should just shove a foot up her arse and go for it.
On the other hand I liked the video you had here. LOL.. The first song had me remember when Number 5 off of Short Circuit danced it the first time if you are familiar with the movie. Its an 80's film. But good I think.
And that guy dancing with Michal Jackson.LOL... Hiliarious today. Thanks for the laugh.

David: She has to look and smell her best in case the news wants to do a followup :)
kb: I wish she would just leave. But then she wouldn't be able to spend all my dads money on her rotten thieving kids.

Yea Mushy, like permanently. Sounds like she needs to take a long walk on a short pier. Someone needs to make her an offer she can't refuse. Very sad. You're a good son. And I loved the vid.

Hammer I am sorry he has to live like that. That is not living or barely surviving with a woman like her. Just take it one day at a time and hope for the best. Let us know what happens though.

It's a shame that that crap continues, but I can see that it's (at least) equally hard for you to stand back and watch it.
I'm glad that he's recovering from his surgery, and hope that the next one goes well too.
When you take him to his next appointment, is it possible to afterwards return him to a different, undisclosed location - with lawyers and papers to ditch the bitch?
I'm sorry about your dad's situation. It's simply wrong. But unless he truly wants to just call it quits, I imagine you're kind of between a rock and a hard place.
