Dog reunited!

About 8pm I got a frantic call from a very country sounding dude: "Uh I think you have my dawg"

He lives just up the street from me so he was at my house in 5 min. I explained to the kids that they should be happy that the dog was going home. They seemed alright with it,

The guy showed up. he was a massively tattooed bodybuilder who drove a truck with a golds gym logo on the side.]

He saw the dog and went crazy like it was a long lost girlfriend or something.

I won't pass judgement because I've never lost a dog like that but he was almost french kissing the fucking pooch,...whatever.

The kids were a little sad but happy the dog got home to the person who "loves" it.

I was happy that I didn't have to spend the time getting my asshole dogs used to a new playmate.

All is well that ends well.

I'm glad that your children understood after only a slight sadness. It sounds as though they now are more confident with accepting some loss. That's good.

Just a tad creepy about how much affection some people have toward their animal companions...yuck!!! I once had a little Staffordshire Bull Terrier who was a kisser, but NOT to that extent.

Your dogs...well, they're probably just happy to be back outside after a short confinement.

Thanks again.

Good the dog came home again.
Well, you know, for some people the dog becomes like their child...and if their "dog-child" get lost for a short time ... the reaction is the same on both side, I think.

aw, that's such a nice story to read. I'd be overly ecstatic too if I lost Spot and found him. That's such a sweet-looking dog.

Glad the owner saw your flyer. I am sure he missed his dog (as evidenced by his "kisses").

Glad things ended well. I know my girls would have had a crying fit going on and making the guy feel real bad about taking her away. I am still in the process of teaching them that things dont always stay with you esp if they arent yours to keep. But I hope we dont have to find out anytime soon how attatched they will get to something.

I used the lost dog in my last post, hope you don't mind. The guy might be a little over attached to the dog, but at least you know it's not abused. Good the kids didn't have too long to grow too close to it.
