School officer Tasers sixth grader in Georgia
JONESBORO, Ga. -- A middle school security officer used a Taser on a sixth-grade boy to break up his fight with a girl Wednesday, school officials said.
Officials said the 11-year-old shocked twice with the device at Jonesboro Middle School weighs 200 pounds and refused to obey orders to stop attacking the girl, also 11, and the Taser was used as a last resort to prevent her from being seriously injured. The two had been taken to the office to resolve an argument that started during lunch and spilled into a classroom.
"The male student literally jumped on the girl and started hitting her about the face and head," school district spokesman Charles White said. "He did not comply with directions to stop, and physical efforts to pull him off the girl were unsuccessful."
Both students were treated for injuries, none of them serious, White said. The boy was charged with assault and battery and was taken to a juvenile detention center, and later was released to the custody of his mother.
The officer is a city of Jonesboro police officer who carries the standard equipment of a pistol and a Taser, according to Jonesboro Police Sgt. Brad Johnson.

A 200 lb eleven year old! Yikes. And no integrity to boot....
That kid needs to be given lessons in self control
I find it strange that a middle school would need to have an armed security officer...obviously necessary but WTF?
He should have just shot the slob, he had a gun. Animals.
I'm not surprised that the school has an off duty cop working security... we had that when I was in middle school. I think I was there for the first year my school hired them, though.
I'm waiting for the "Think of the children!" crowd to say something about this. Do they talk about how horrible it is that cops are using tasers on children? Or do they cry about how society teaches boys that abusing girls is okay? I mean, we all know that's why he hit her... nevermind that adults were doing everything possible to stop him... it's because society has taught him to abuse and oppress women and put them back in the kitchens and force them to have babies. But if you say that, you pass up the chance to harp on how violent cops are. Yeah, this one'll be difficult for them.
Wow. I wish I'd had something that effective through most of junior high and high school, instead of a bunch of coins bundled up in a handkerchief. I know quite a few jerks who needed the same treatment as this asshole.

Oh I got into a real beatdown with this black chick called Amy when I was in um....7th or 8th grade, and first thing she did was rip off my shirt (I was a "developing" girl) So I clocked her a few times and she punched me in the eye.
Made my eye bleed. everyone said it was wicked sick, that I looked like a badass windmilling her with blood trickling out of my eye and in just a bra.
Well, she ened up backing off the very second I did, it was a draw and she gave me respect ther next day, made a point to say Hi to me in the hall.
She picked the fight in art class (this was in Texas btw) and she was pissed at me for being white.
anyway, a 200 pound 11 yearold????
They sure do make em big in Georgia. Bet he grows up to be a wife beater or rapist.
hope not.
I am perefectly okay with this kid getting a little taser action. In fact, tasers should be used as often as possible when it comes to kids. ;)
Steve~
I wonder what they were fighting about?...
Nonetheless 200 pounds on a 11-year old is unforgivable. His first punition should be to go on a diet!
I find it sad that no one could pull the kid off the girl, but that kid definitely needs to go on a diet before he dies at the age of 25 of a heart attack.
They got rid of the paddle in most schools only to be replaced by tasers?
Can't say I oppose it if done in situations like that.
Never agreed with getting rid of the paddle.
