I haven't done a meme in forever and I was looking for one when curiously I found that I was Tagged by the Admiral.

1. I love to prank people. My favorite targets are the guilty, the paranoid and the humorless members of our society.
2. I'm often disgusted with people who refuse to see the truth even when it stares them in the face.
3. I hate being wrong, but honestly I will gladly admit when I make a mistake.
4. I used to like accumulating material goods, but now it feels like my possesions own me.
5. When I'm around people from a different region or country, I feel myself start to take on their accent.
6. I'm irreverent to the point of being anti-social so I have to temper what I say to keep from being labeled.
7. In some ways I envy the Iranian people..the genie is out of the bottle. They are mad as hell and fighting back against tyranny. The same goes for Honduras, the president tried to stage an anti-constitutional takeover and the checks and balances worked properly to take him out.
8. I have a hard time watching movies and television shows with time travel as part of the plot because I find myself picking out all the errors made regarding the cars on the street, the language used and the curious practice of pretending segregation didn't exist.
9. I'm finding myself getting hooked on reality cooking shows. It's the only place I know where the judging is blind to sex, color, creed and nationality...if your food sucks, the judges boot your ass out the door.
10. Every morning when I read the headlines, I ask myself: "What fresh fuckery is this?"

Good Meme Hammer!
I must say that in reading this blog for the last...what is it? Coming on two years? I am not surprised by your ten items. I feel that I know this about you already...
hammer...nicely done! I must admit #5 had me chuckling...living in the DC area, we have oodles of 'diversity'. It would be most amusing to listen to you during a simple conversation where I work, You would jump from Asian to Middle-Eastern all in the same sentence!
Thanks for a fun Friday post!

I really love pranks too for the same reasons.
Number 4 is the story of my house.
I have been told I am an anti-social bastard.
Number 10 is right on the mark.
These were great!
Time travel to the past is impossible. It just is. I can see how traveling to the future can work and maybe traveling back to where you started from if you set some sort of a homing beacon to come back to. It's just a theory, of course.
well done:
"I hate being wrong, but honestly I will gladly admit when I make a mistake."
I feel the same...and generally I try to gather all I can before making a decision....and even then sometimes I make the wrong one...but such is life. I just ask for forgiveness from any I have harmed as well as myself and carry on...no sense as the old adage says "crying over spilt milk"
I'm right there with ya on #10.
#10 - well said!
Number 4 sounds very familiar, and number 7. Amazing how the media has mostly gotten that situation totally wrong. It's like they're run by Chaves. Number 8 is familiar. Occupational hazard, seeing all the mistakes. And, unfortunately, number 10 is way too familiar.
Are you sure we don't know each other? I used to worry when I'd say something and get that really! really? oh, no you didn't!" look. Now it's all I can do to keep from saying STFU.
*giggle*
Absolutely love #10!
You must be my long lost younger brother.
#5 is so true. My wife of nine years is from Indiana. I do not hear her Mid West accent and she does not hear my Kiwi accent, yet we both hear other peoples accents. We both speak a sort of Kiwi/Midwest which gets a lot of people confused as to where we come from.
# 10 is why I try not to read any MSM or watch the idiot box anymore.
Interesting! I agree with the time travel thing.
Must agree with the cooking show thing. Used to love Top Chef, now they've got Top Chef Masters...established chefs taking it up a notch...hooked on those shows. Only I hate that I can't be one of the testers at that judging table. Rats! :-)
I'm with ya on #10!
I so relate to #5. Being from a military family it often was the case that accents would take hold. Some people today look at me and ask. "Damn I can't put my finger on it.. where are you originally from?"
It makes me laugh.
