NBC says "thank you to troops" message is too political
UPDATE: NBC changes it's mind and agrees to air ad thanking troops. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

NBC never has a problem showing commercials for left leaning political causes
why all the sudden is this message too controversial?

I'm not surprised.
In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with this ad or the website mentioned at the end. It's freedom of speech, even though it provides a viewpoint not popular with the suck-wad executives at NBC.
I hate seeing ads for Clinton or Obama, but there is nothing wrong with them either when it comes to free speech. Their ads make me puke a little, but that's life with freedom.
Holy Crap, Hammer!! The reason they might not want to run it is because...well, maybe...er...not a fricking clue why they won't. Cheers!!
Thanks Hammer..I hope that everyone who feed as you and I do just boycott the sumbitches...their income is based on ad revenue and ad revenue is based on viewing audience..and if there is a declining viewing audience there will be a declining revenue..and that is about the only ting these sumbitches understand..
Saw this over at another blog friends place this morning. Isnt it terrible. I cant believe they would do this to our troops. What are our troops doing. Keeping there FREEDOM OF SPEECH going so they are denying them not a thank you over the holiday season or even afterwards. Come on here. I just cant believe this. Its BS is what it is. Just right down sick and they better learn not to mess with the general public or they will be out of buisness before they can say sorry.
Hammer,
It was simple and tastefully done. No clue what the network's problem is.
I wish I watched TV just so I could boycott NBC. What a bunch of losers. Maybe they need to move to a county that doesn't have a military to thank and defend themselves. You don't have to agree with the war to thank our troups. I hope they get the message loud and clear.
Why would anyone in their right mind have a problem with something like this?
I don't get it.
Maybe it would have been better if they just said "hey" to the troops instead of "thank you."
Welcome to the party, NBC, you gutless wonders! And God bless our troops.
that gives me another reason among many to hate nbc. And changing their minds is a to little to late.
Didn't reach yet this side of the world.
I am confused as to what the problem could have been in the first place. I think it is a great comercial... and this is coming from a Canadian! :-)
Also, regarding the Hillary Clinton cookie comercial... too much... to funny and yet so much to the point. Politicians really have to watch what they say.
ok this Canadian is confused....why would NBC or any channel have a problem with this commercial??? I think it is very respectful and I certainly think the troops deserve a BIG thanks...especially this time of year.
Great video man. Loved it.
