I think I met an American practitioner of Dong Fu about 20 years ago.
My friends and I were asked to leave a bar when we got a little rowdy. As the behemoth of a bouncer put it, "Either leave, or get your asses kicked."
One of my hothead friends kicked the guy in the balls as hard as he could. The bouncer got a sickly look on his face, but that was all.
He just swallowed real hard, smiled and said, "So y'all are choosing the ass kicking, huh?"
Only time I've ever let a friend take an ass-whipping without trying to help. ;)
