Thinking about stuff
Well it's time to update my blogroll again. I've noticed a bunch of new readers coming around...not sure how they found me but I'm always glad to see new names in the comments.
Everytime someone new posts a comment or if I see them visiting on a regular basis I add them to my feeds list and check out their blog as well. If I have something witty or semi pertinent to say I'll comment, otherwise I'll just lurk. I've been lurking more lately because sometimes I'm just at a loss for words...
I've noticed lately some folks don't come around anymore. I can't help but think I may have inadvertently pissed them off with my off the cuff remarks and crude attempts at humor. I know people disappear for a variety of reasons but hopefully I didn't drive anyone off.
When I first started blogging almost two years ago I wasn't sure if I was going to let it all hang out and just write whatever popped into my head or keep the topics under tight control. I eventually decided just to be myself which can fluctuate with my varied mental states.
Anyhow, I thank all of you guys for coming around and taking the time to look at my little piece of the blogosphere. I'll keep this thing going for as long as my imagination and two index fingers will allow.

Cleaning up the blogroll is worse than having to dust the knick knacks, don't you think?
Still here! I've been mostly a lurker lately too...just don't feel like I have much to say, but I'm still interested in what's going on with everyone!
I can tell you that I found you via Matt-Man and am quite glad I did! I find your "off-the-cuff" remarks refreshing and am glad you didn't decide to keep your topics under tight control - letting it all hang out is always better!
This is my first visit here Hammer. I got here via Phos. I'm glad I stopped by....in addition to relating to the hows and whys you blog...I had forgotten just how hilarious Benny Hill was. I have tears in my eyes from laughing. Great way to start the day. Thanks!

I'll admit I wuz gone for a while, lost track of the blog-rollin' rounds, 'til Phoenyx reminded me to check you out again.
I, too, use the feeds to read blogs and occasionally branch out from comments to check out blogs I don't read regularly just to see if I want to add any to my reader list.
I don't comment too often on most blogs I read. Mostly because I'm usually days behind on reading and what I have to say has already been said.
As for offending anyone, I say what Jami said. See? It's already been said! Your honor, the defense rests.

You probably know what I have to say already...as we have a similar mindset.
Please don't change or stop or censor the refreshing honesty that comes out in an oh so Politically correct world. We must Have the Uncensored, unabridged HAMMER!!!!!!!
The only thing I worry about is if I might "hurt" someone with my off the cuff comments-say another reader that day- and I would never do that intentionally-

I lurk sometimes too. There are days when my thoughts aren't worth printing.
Go Hammer. I think you are great. I like it here. You always have something going on and sometimes its so funny I bring hubby back to see what You had posted too. Some of your video's are just that up beat. I know he doesnt care for blogging but he likes looking sometimes.
I read you every day Hammer. Though I've been using Google Reader so I'm not sure how that shows up. And besides I think you're the only read I have for my blog, I need to keep an eye on what's going on with you. :)

I don't always comment but I always read. Sometimes my input is too uninformed to subject anyone to it, so I just read and move along. The quality of your blog has not wavered since I first started reading it, which is quite impressive considering how many posts you've given us!

You didn't scare me off...Hammer's don't scare me. In fact, I like them. they help hold things together, while still being resourceful at tearing things apart and they even help pry into things otherwise shut. Finally, they make for a good self-defense tool ;)
Oh yeah, and the heavier they are, the more power they have... Hammer On!

oh hammer, know I'm always reading even if I'm not commenting. I lurk too when I can't think of anything to say. Or like now when I'm pretty sick so all I would say would be a downer.
Hi Hammer... as always an entertaining read! I remember sitting with my family as a kid watching Benny Hill ... That dry English sense of humor was a riot! Even my grandfather, an uptight Englishman, would sit and laugh at his antics. I always wondered how my mother could sit through all the sexual inuendo's (T and A everywhere) and think nothing of it, but was absolutely puritanistic in the way she raised us and how she lived her life. One of life's great mysteries!
You never offend, Hammer, and we rely on the honesty and humour in your posts.
Plus, we rely on the wisdom of the videos..............and the sheer nonsense of Benny Hill! What a terrific addition to this day!
Man, all you can do is be yourself. The folks that stick around will stick around. Do it for yourself anyway, but you know that.
Figuring out the blogroll thing (no small feat for myself) was a good thing, but I've found it does tend to encourage my inner lurker, quick read and off to the next blogger. I always check it out though, 'specially the lolcat vids.
How in the heck do you do get the YouTube feeds? I have tried to copy & past the embeded code but blogger blocks it.
What's your secret Hammer? Please share.
