4th of July part 2

I want to thank everyone for the comments on the 4th of July post.
I'm also flattered by all of you that linked to the post.
I think if we could get our collective hands around the political process and elect a third party candidate that is committed to reversing the damage that has been done we could avoid a rebellion.
The powers that be, have gradually entrenched themselves over the last several decades. Both Democrats and Republicans have created roadblocks designed to prevent an outsider from gaining power and overturning the two party system.
If we keep electing socialists, lawyers and big money crooks into our Senate, House of Representatives and into the White House, we can expect more of our freedoms to be removed by bureaucratic regulation instead of representative legislation.
I'll stop here, I try not to blog about politics too much, it's kind of heavy and tends to make people yell a lot.
Happy 4th everyone! I'm going to go outside, have a beer and wave at the black helicopters that have been circling my house for the last 24 hours ...

Enjoy the day, and please moon them for me.
LOL, my great-aunt Earlene saw black helicopters all the time too. She still does, only now she sees them from inside her room at the mental hospital.
Happy 4th Hammer! Great posts.
A one-fingered wave, no doubt.
Just turn all four of your cheeks towards them, and get any of the guys who enter your house roaring drunk. You'll have a blast and they won't remember a thing afterwards. Plus they'll be so blotto they'll be more or less incapacitated - always good for government agents.

If it weren't for the notorious inefficiency of the federal government, we'd all be screwed. Thank God for red tape and gridlock.
The black helicopters would be a relief from the plain white vans with satellite dishes parked just in view of my window regularly. The election process has been fixed since the introduction of electronic voting machines. The '08 election results are already in. They're just waiting for the TV coverage to begin so they can tell us who won. An all out revolt is the only hope for this country. Unfortunately, apathy is too widespread. We're dead.
Happy 4th! Enjoy the fireworks!
Happy 4th of July Hammer, we have to get better, it can't get any worse.
seems like you and me have the same take on politics.
and regarding jp's comment,
when they really do institute voting by your own PC, we are truly doomed.
Happy Fourth, Hammer.
I'm winding down now. The eating is done, the leftovers put away, and I'm going to try to go to bed early. I have to work tomorrow.
You're right here with what you said. I think even Republicans got a serious backlash over this latest attempt at "comprehensive immigration reform."
The two parties have different outlooks, but no matter which is in power, they do stupid stuff. Maybe we're getting to the point where third party candidates are viable.
Hope so.
And be sure to use binoculars when looking at the black helicopters instead of using the scope on your hunting rifle. Just some advice.
Happy 4th, Hammer!

I think people who ride in black helicopters have self-esteem issues.
Thank you. You are soo right.
I'm going to go outside, have a beer and wave at the black helicopters that have been circling my house for the last 24 hours ... lmaoooooooo too funny.
Great posts! Can´t do much about the voting from over here, but I´ll wave to the helicopters!

Amen to that. Something's got to give.
