Blogmeet in Kerrville.
We stayed at the inn of the hills. I thought the place was pretty fancy.
The toilet in my room handled my burrito explosions quite nicely.
King sized bed, fridge, microwave and a door right next to the pool.
What more could a guy ask for?
Luckily Guyk posted some Friday night pics so that when I showed up on
Saturday I wouldn't look like an ass trying to find the other bloggers.
After introductions, we sat out by the pool, drank beer, ate burritos and shot the
shit. It was Guy's birthday so we got some cake too.
Like I mentioned earlier, all these folks were really fun to talk to, I just wish I could have spent more time visiting with everyone.
The Grouchy cripple and Jim Played their guitars and treated us to some dirty songs and classic oldies. Everyone was singing along. The more we drank the better we sounded!
Jerry, the farmer from Indiana, is a music buff and he knew all the words in case we forgot.
I had dinner with Walrilla and his soon to be blogging buddy at the hotel buffet. Great food and great company.
The hotel management kept hassling us for making too much noise and running around drunk and naked but we held them under water until they shut the hell up ;)
Me, El Capitan, Walrilla and Leslie finally stumbled back to our rooms at about 3:ooAM
I was up half the night blowing the water out of the toilet and the covers off the bed from the burritos and beer boiling in my belly. I was farting so loudly that the person in the room next to me was pounding on the wall and yelling for me to cork it.
I dragged myself out of bed and 9:30 or so and visited with everyone around the patio till about noon and then headed back into town.
Here are some pics. None of these are me.

DAMN! I kept passing gas like a mule in green oats last night and couldn't figure out why...now you remind me of them burritos..yep..no wonder Miss Sassie Poodle slept on top of the covers last night.
I hope I make it to one of these things... they all sound like a blast! [even without burritos :)]
Glad you had a good time.
Glad you all had a good time.. it sounds and looks like it was a lot of fun. :D
"Burrito explosions" is a nice visual... (gag!) LOL!
lucky you! sounds like a good time
Burrito explosions... wow what a way with words you have hammer. *barf*
All singing sounds better with beer.
Glad you guys had fun... well sounds like you had more of a blast...ewwww lol
Blown Eyed Blodger Initiation Handbook, Chapter 5, Article 12, Paragraph 4: "Beware the Shinerrhia"
Dude, read the materials.
nice meeting ya! don't be a stranger, i mean, anymore than you have to be.
A blog meet, interesting. A lot of bloggers are so paranoid that I'm sure you will never meet them.
Back in the good old days of chat rooms and such we where more open and I did meet some of those folks, I've posted pictures of a few of them in old blog posts.
I'd go to a blog meet in my area, but I think you exaggerated about the burritos and such. :-)
oooh, scary burrito foo.
Sounds like y'all had a blast- I'm envious!
just curious, what did you tell the missus?
you don't have to answer if you don't want. (of course)
I was wondering the same thing as Infinitesimal actually cos I thought she didn't know you blogged!! God knows what she thinks you do on the computer for hours though????
That looked and sounded like fun!! I'm interested that they're mostly men?? Is that because women are too scared to go to things like that??
Lucky you ... Sound like a good time yeah.
guyk: sorry you got it too!
Groovy: Jean, Jeannie, plegmfatale, Kirsten Snowmanpoop, terri
Yeah I was the newbie. Up until a month or so ago I never even imagined people actually met in person and travelled thousands of miles for these things.
Sorry for the burrito visuals :P
shoe: doh! I'm a slow learner ;)
infini& KB: A couple weeks ago she asked if I blogged when they were talking about it on the news. So I went ahead and told her.
She was fine with it. She has seen me talking to people online through usenet, music message boards and chat rooms for such for a long time that it was really no big surprise.
She asked what I wrote about and I told her honestly it was the same conversations she and I had but with names removed to protect the innocent.
There were as many women as men but for some reason they weren't around when I had the camera out.
Most were big into the blog meets and had done it several times in the past.
Sounds like fun! There isn't anything better than a burrito and beer...if only the after effects were nicer!
i have never heard of such a thing,
but was that a guy I saw actually blogging at the patio table??
he had his computer out...
Man, I'm pretty sure I smiled at least once or twice during the trip... Ya got me looking all pissed off ,there!
Must have been smelling someone's fart, I s'pose...
jenny: indeed, I think all of us combined could have blown the roof off the place :)
infini: that was actually guy, I think he was showing off his mobile blogging setup for when he's on the road, also not everyone had read everyone else before the meetup.
el capitan: hehe I clam up when the camera's come out too.
Over the course of 15 years my wife hasn't got photgraphic proof that I have teeth.
lmao @ Over the course of 15 years my wife hasn't got photgraphic proof that I have teeth. I tend to be the same way, or I just start to growl when I see a camera coming my way. Not a fan of getting my pic taken at all. Glad you had a good time. I have met a few people that I have met online. But the people I have met, were friends from Pogo...and it was one on one but still fun.
El Cap - I'm thinking you musta smelled Guy's anal windstorm from at least six miles away, deep within the recesses of Kerrville Park. That's why, my friend, I always stay *AWAY* from the Mexican foodies.
Why no pictures of hammer?
Looks like it was a damn good time...
I wanted to see a photo of you, too!
Good gawd Hammer that is one ugly ass picture of me.
Man, I wish to hell that I had been able to make it. Those are some good peeps, there.
I've met quite a few of them already, and it's a damn good drinking crew...
