Happy Friday Hammer !
It'd be great if everyone had a brain -- and used it -- that had a gun....
A little forethought/consideration/logic would stop a lot of people from committing crimes...

KB: thanks! glad you enjoyed it :)

JP: Thanks, finding the songs is the hard part.

Anon: Why are Brits from sodding Birmingham always interested in my arse hole?

annie: You said it! I concur :)

mutley: Thanks for the information. I'm indeed glad to hear it.

Anonymous didn't seem to like your video but the comment was a little off the mark I thought.

It was funny. The song was a little repetitive but hey - you didn't write it.

And the thing is - maybe it would be great if everyone had a gun. There'd be less people in the world and the ones left wouldn't be inclined to piss people off.

Fun stuff--

Let's see... My father's best childhood friend DEAD, accidental shooting at 13. My sister's 2nd serious boyfriend, paralyzed, shot by a neighbor as he was climbing back over a fence after retrieving a frisbee...

The last backhoe driver I hired in Grants Pass, DEAD. Seems his addict son came into the house looking for money and found the revolver Mike used for "protection"... Hi pops. Kapowie! Right in the neck!

Yep. It sure would be great!!

How about we all put them down the front of our trousers...???

jeannie: just like everything else
I blame the person and not the object.

gunz: lol thanks man.

kat: thanks, I tried to make it funny :)

Scott: I'm sorry all that shit happened. I haven't been around people who abuse firearms so I have a different perspective. Not sure what an answer is.. there are 300 million gun in the US right now, there isn't much anything we can do other than educate people.

If I had time, I'd list everyone I've known killed in car accidents. Maybe we should start walking and riding bikes more.
Just me Hammer...

I see you are having family issues that I have tons of empathy for. You are the guy who seems to have to be the sane one everyone wants to anchor to. That's a tough position to take. Good luck with Pops and his wife/bitch.

The thing about guns is to understand that there is a deep emotional attachment to the issue by many people. My step brother and sisters lost their father to a .38... another story, another gun...

They are all strongly in favor of stricter gun laws. Can you blame them?

Not much humor in the issue for me. Too many dead people. If you know what I mean...

anon: That's about they way I look at it.

ryan: thanks, I didn't know nuns had their own militia :)

snowmanpoop: dang, I should have well now I have something for the next one.

nomas: no kidding, I think he followed me from another blog. Frigging butt stalkers...

Scott thank you for the kind words.
I'm trying to stay sane.

I'm sorry to hear about all of the terrible tragedies your family has experienced. It's senseless and shameful the way some humans behave.

Scott: I understand the gun debate is indeed an emotional issue. I guess what my main point overall that laws and prohibitions don't put the gun genie back in the lamp, and if guns aren't used a knife or club will suffice in the hands of a maniac.

Without belaboring the point, my position has and is some form of rational restrictions.

Think of it as a speed limit on guns.

You can still drive, but if you exceed this or this limit, it gives law enforcement leverage to keep the lid on.

I realize that the heritage in the US is a gun heritage. That's why I know banning guns will never work, and why I don't believe in banning guns.

But just as speed limits have curbed high speed deaths, so too reasonable guns laws will curb death by firearms.

No, it won't stop them. And yes, it won't stop those who absolutely are intent to get a weapon and kill people, but things like banning assault weapons, high caliber weapons that are for hunting species that are no longer huntable...

In every gun related death I know of, a gun or a club would not have caused the death.

Anyway, there is a medium between the gun banners and the leave us to do what we want gun nuts.

It's up to rational people to find it.

Can't understand why everyone doesn't want one, seriously! people who don't get it are like the folks who think anything but the missionary position are perverted. Look, If you don't want to do it, fine. But don't tell me what to do. Fuck off.
