Post of the week!

I've been blogging for about six months now. I like it a whole heck of a lot better now that I discovered this:
This tip has made checking my favorite blogs so much easier because once you subscribe to the feed and set it for 15 min refresh you can just glance at the feeds list under favorites to see who has updated. It took me about 30 min to subscribe to everyone I read,
Now that I'm set up, what used to take me an hour now only takes a few seconds.

I'm still using a modem and go off on online a lot. I don't know if that would help me or not, or if it would just make my modem work harder.

"Parachuting"

A blind man was describing his favorite sport of parachuting. When asked how this was accomplished, he said that things were all done for him.

"I am placed in the door and told when to jump. My hand is placed on my release ring for me and out I go."

"But, how do you know when you are going to land"? he was asked.

"I have a very keen sense of smell and I can smell the trees and grass when I am 300 feet from the ground," he answered.

"But, how do you know when to lift your legs for the final arrival on the ground"? he was again asked.

The man quickly answered, "Oh, the dog's leash goes slack."

Hey, does it tell you if the comments have been added to?

I'm always coming back to blogs to see the comments that have showed up.

I've been using Google Reader for about 3 months and I love it. It sure does make things easier.

BBC: under the comments there is a "subscribe to comments" on some
or you can hit that orange button when on the comments screen. It should help with dialup quite a bit.

dazd: yep I had no idea till lexcen informed me.

carrie: It sure was a chore before this.

I feel like such a Luddite when it comes to some of these things (would you believe I have a Masters Degree in Computer Science; I am not kidding).

I guess I'll have to look into it. I have noticed you've been visting my blog very soon after I post! :)

I just use my own "blogroll" to list my favorite links. It tells me when they've updated. I know, I know, it's waaaaay behind the times. Call me old fashioned.

That's what I use Bloglines for. I would never be able to keep up if I had to look at each blog individually.

dan: Yep I can get the first post in more often than not. Not that its a big deal or anything ;)

BBC: the never offered that degree plan where I went.

Scott: You know, I've seen some comments in my travels that seem like they were canned. I bet the spammers use something of that sort.

MadZ You're welcome :)

Jarhead John: I tried the blogroll but my Browser kept crapping out when I tried to add to it. IE & seems to be handling things better though.

Alandp: It was a heck of a chore, thankfully I wasn't on dialup.

Hmmmm, that icon doesn't even appear next to your address in Firefox. Guess I'll have to stick with my blogroll.

Gunny is pissed at the internet....thoughts of blowing shit up are running thick.
