Some parents are f**king idiots.
My little girl was invited to a birthday party of one her 1st grade classmates.
All 18 kids in the class showed up at the pizza/arcade place where the party was held.
They had a private party room and everything was going fine.
About 25 minutes before the party was scheduled to end, the birthday child's parents handed out game tokens, let the kids out into the crowded arcade unsupervised, got in their car and drove away.
My wife was there with one other parent and they were like... WHAT THE FUCK?
More than a dozen first graders let loose in a room full of strangers totally unsupervised.
My wife and one other parent tried to use their own kids to round everyone up and make sure that no one was abducted or lost.
The other parents started showing up at the scheduled time. Luckily almost everyone was accounted for by that time
I never leave my kids in any public place without my supervision. A kids birthday at a house
might be ok depending on how the parents act and how secure the place looks.
Maybe I'm over protective. Right now I'm appalled that someone would do something that irresponsible and foolish.

I would have been seriously Peaved if I had came to pick-up my child and walked into that situation. What in the hell were they thinking?
Hmmmmmmm...I even get edgey when I see little kids walking to school on their own. Times have changed I'm afeared.
It's a 15 min walk to my kids school. I drive em because it's not only weirdo adults to be worried about. I've seen Bullies pushing other kids into traffic.
