Bullshit VII

Property taxes..yeah they pay for public schools and other various socialist indoctrination /FEMA death camps. I've been paying about $5000 per year based on the value of my home and property...it's about a third of my house payment. Ok fine I've grabbed my ankles and paid it all these years. So the bottom falls out of the housing market, my home is worth half what it was 2 years ago..so why have my taxes not gone down to reflect this? So I lose a huge chunk of my net worth and the government keeps taxing me like I still have it....I call complete and utter BULLSHIT!
Food prices peaked when fuel was over 5 bucks per gallon. The diesel fuel used to cart groceries across the country was up to $5.69 at one point. I can understand..transportation is a huge chunk of food costs. Ok fuckfaces.. the fuel prices are back to 2 bucks a gallon..so why hasn't the price of food gone down to reflect these lower costs? A fucking box of crackers or a bag of potato chips is still almost 5 bucks. WTF is going on? I smell a big pile of Bullshit.
So anyway, out of curiosity I was checking out the price of new cars, since the wife has been bugging me to get one. You would think that with sales down 80% from a couple of years ago and car companies going bankrupt faster than a coke head with a gambling problem that I would be able to find a good deal on a car...Nope! they are still real proud of those sombitches. Instead of trying to move vehicles so they can get some money flowing, they are holding out for maximum profit on each one.
Silly bitches! You can't fuck with the law of supply and demand..supply is up, you have cars parked up your own assholes for lack of other space and you are still trying to charge $40,000 for a fucking pickup truck....Blow me! Fucking idjits! I hope you drown in your own bloody pile of bullshit.

You really need to learn to not keep this kind of stuff bottled up inside, man.
Let it go - build up like that will vapor lock your hide real quick...
:P
I think I just said all this to my hubs recently. Well, not the 'blow me' part.... he'd have wondered about that. hehe
But it's so true, the prices just keep climbing. We were at the Outback recently where they'de had a menu change so that obviously means higher prices. The dinner hubs got doesn't come with a salad anymore. The girl said since their change, you have to add on a salad for like 3 bucks. Bullshit! How the hell much is lettuce going for these days? Our son wasn't with us, so I asked if they still had the Mac and Cheese dish on the kids menu. If so, we wanted it for takeout. The waitress said that initially they did make the portion much smaller when they changed their menu but people bitched about it, so they went back to the original size.
THAT is what has to happen!!! People have to get together and say they are wise to the bullshit and either refuse to buy something or go somewhere that it's offered reasonably.
We are NOT buying a car right now because of that bullshit. Recently, we had everything fixed on my old Taurus and will just wait it out. Maybe when my son starts driving in a year or two things will be better.
I suggest going to the range and unloading summa dat angerrrr my friend. I too share your temper regarding such hubris. Crooks and thieves are running our country. We take it back before it's too late.
i agree bullshit
Hammer,
You are the official Bullshit detector. I feel you are dead on balls accurate in your assessment here.
Bullseye on the bullshit, Hammer!
We have been stepping in bullshit since November 4th.
Wear them high boots cause it is going to get deep.
And they wonder why nobody is buying!!
I'm sending you money to buy me some potato chips. I quit buying them when they hit $6.00 a bag here and now they're $6.50.
Lucky for us, we have the new cash for clunkers stimulus plan....
I can't type sarcastically, but that was my sarcastic font.
During the Great Crash of 1929, there was an epidemic of suicides by failed businessmen. In todays economic collapse, corporate execs jump with a golden parachute.
Makes you wonder sometimes with all of the 'brains' in Washington D.C., nobody can guide the economy/make better policy...
Autos was a good example. As are foodstuffs...
you have a wonderful way with words and i can't wait to babble with you in the starlight this summer. it is so nice to have something to look forward to.
i agree. i have been stunned by the lower cost of milk lately. that shit got outrageous last summer.
the rest is too accurate. don't get me started on those assholes in car sales. they suck, let them bleed out.
Yeah ours is down $150,000 from a couple years ago.
But property taxes? Oh. nooooo....
Bastards. And today I had Wells Fartgo wasting a half hour of my workday trying to sell me more credit. Fuckers...
That there is a Sean's Special at the little taco place I hit on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Except it also has bacon in it. Good Eats!
As for the price of comida. They must be trying to re-coupe some of the lost profit from last year. More than likely they are just fucking us though.
I with you Hammer! I am in the same boat in NC. My house is worth about $100,000 less than 4 years ago yet my taxes have not changed. My damn Reese Cups keep going up too...BASTARDS!
Free markets don't always act the way we want them to (referring to food prices) but the alternative (socialism) is much worse. It must be a good time to be a food producer because if people are still willing to pay 5 bucks for chips/crackers, why lower the price?
Car prices are easily explained: accounting and stock prices. If you start selling cars at drastically reduced prices, the value of your stocks drop, investors come with pitch forks and torches. Holding out for a buyout (or bailout) is better for overall company value, than thats what they are going to do. If selling cars at reduced prices would be in the share holders best interests, then thats what they would do.
Look at circuit city... they were even selling the toilet paper dispensers.
As far as your property taxes, my advice is to go down to your county/city/town office and visit the treasurers office and demand a reassessment. Chances are you will get it, but I wouldnt go running to your neighbors bragging about bringing your taxes down... all that will do is encourage the local commies to tax something else to make up the difference.
Sorry if I sound preachy, but I hate to do anything that even remotely encourages socialism think (especially with Obamanists in power...).
cary: I know I really need to learn to speak my mind ;)
Crystalchick: you're right prices are up and quality/quantity is down..what gives?
Red: good idea.I need a stress releaser.
snowmanpoop: thanks!
flyinfox: I will add bullshit detector to my resume
Dan O lol bullseye and bullshit are from different ends but all lead to the same place
Admiral: I've got my hip waders
my point: exactly
snigglefritz: holy shit! 6.50??
MTB: I'm repairing mine when I used to buy new.
Lexen: So true..paid by our tax dollars.
annie: I think the government meddling has a lot to do with it
supergurl: you're right milk and cheese prices are halved thank god.
Looking forward to the meetup too
Deadman: Yeah craziness..they don't want to lose that revenue..cake and eat it too for them
Kerrcato: I read an economist that said the same thing..his predictions came true
Michelle: It's nuts..I have to live on less so govt should tighten belts too
Becky: you are 100% right. Prices should be what the market will bear. I'm just thinking all this meddling is screwing with the system as a whole. I also think producers are making piss poor business decisions that will bite them in the ass...Who is john galt.
Thanks for the tip on the tax assy: I'm writing them tomorrow.
Socialism is shit. I'm just afraid that it's already got us by the balls.
The food price is still up there because a lot of vendors (not just for food, for all sorts of supplies and parts) are still charging the fuel surcharge they set last year when fuel peaked. Some had sliding scales based on actual fuel price on a certain date, and those phased out, but some just had X amount added per Y dollar amount of the bill, and those hidden costs are still there. A windfall.
But all we need to do is plant the whole yard as a garden, get a chicken coop, and a nanny goat to milk, and screw the stores. Same as fixing used cars until new car prices come way down.
MTS: Yep very seldom do we see charges removed..when people get used to paying a certain price..it is left alone.
Yep I'm expanding the garden.
Damn, you nailed it. You are SO right.
a few more reasons it doesn't pay to conserve and save - the true conservers and savers take it in the shorts every time!
Chips are still cheap here in California and the DIPS are plentiful!
That property tax issue is a HUGE thorn in my side!
I like your bullshit hammer!
AMEN, HAMMER.
