Back

Vacation was interesting. The wife and I ended up going to Las Vegas to celebrate her birthday.

We had free airline tickets from frequent flier miles and the hotel rooms at the Luxor were really cheap.

The whole trip was calm and uneventful. This was one of the very few times I didn't win any money. Luckily, this hammer knows when to stop trying.

The first night we went to see Louie Anderson. The guy is a riot. He picks on people in the audience for his material which makes things even funnier.

I was annoyed at the new drink prices in Vegas. Pretty much any beverage including bottled water is seven bucks. It actually pays to put some money in a machine to get your drinks for free.

One guy walked up to the bar and ordered a round for his friends...$84 bucks for 6 drinks. The bar tender told the guy..."Dude.. just stick ten bucks in the video poker in front of you and all the drinks are free" We learned quickly where to get our beverages.

Our last night we went tothe MGM grand. It got a little hairy because all the people who escaped the fire at the Monte Carlo had been relocated there.

We ended up getting tickets to see Tom Jones.

He put on a damn good show but seriously that's about the only place a 68 year old man can grab his cock in public multiple times and not get arrested for it.

It was good to get home. I find myself getting homesick more and more when vacationing.

The wife had a good birthday and that's all that counts.

WELCOME BACK! Only you could go to Vegas and have no wild story to tell, but at home have one train wreck tale after the next!

Sounds like a good ole time! I saw Tom Jones a couple years ago and thought it was a pretty good show too. We took my mother in law who was a fan. Didn't expect to enjoy it, but then...I saw Donny Osmond at the indian casino once and had a good time as well! Go figure.

That you and Mrs. Hammer had a happy and fairly uneventful time is the best news we could read, Hammer. Good to know that you were able to get away together for some fun!

then you were in the same hotel at the same time as some friends of ours!

they got to watch the fire.

you'd recognize her, as she's a beautiful, youthful, buxom blonde who likes to yuck it up at all times and he's a reserved, yet burly redhead.

glad to see you back.

Not winning any money is a fine trade for 'calm and uneventful' and for giving your wife a nice birthday! Welcome home. :)

Well welcome back! Glad you guys had a good time and your wife enjoyed her birthday...

i don't think I would enjoy watching Tom Jones grab his cock even once, not to mention multiple times. ICK!

Glad you had a good time. Personally, I prefer going where there are less people, but the important thing is whether you enjoyed yourselves.

That sounded like fun Hammer, a nice peaceful birthday. I'm still thunderstruck at $7 a drink. Jeepers.

It sure isn't the "buffet-special for $5.95" Vegas anymore, is it? Glad you and the wife had a good time though. I'm the same way when it comes to homesick.

Welcome back, Hammer!

I went out to Vegas a some years back and really wasn't that impressed. I was more interested in spending time with my grandmother than I was visiting the casinos, although I really did like Excalibur. It was definitely unique.

BTW, my mother LOVES Tom Jones. I'll never forget when she had tickets to see him at the Latin Casino in New Jersey and he had to cancel the show due to laryngitis. My mother was heart-broken!

Poor thing - she never did get to see him live. I don't see that happening anytime soon either, unless Tom decides to take a trip to Tennessee!

HA! I didn't realize Tom Jones was still alive and kicking..but as they say: what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas and I reckon he has been happening there for a while.

Hammer,
Glad you had fun in Vegas. Yes your father and I were frequent guests to Joey Bishop's jacuzzi room back in the heydays of the Sands back in '50s.
Ah memories.

So glad to hear it was a nice vacation/birthday. I would love to visit Vegas one day, but I'm not much of a gambler so it seems a bit senseless. Still, the lights and the shows would be worth the trip for me!

We missed you.. glad you had a great time

Tom Jones is weird and scary. I read somewhere where he collects all the panties he gets from being thrown on stage and donates them somewhere.

Gross for 2 reasons. Who throws their panties at Tom Jones and who donates used panties

I wasn't impressed by the Luxor. $7 for a drink is outrageous. My son and his gf went to one of the shows and were charged $12 a drink but the bartender was sympathetic and put about 4 oz of booze in them.

It sounds like you and your wife had a good time... I'm glad she had a good time :)

Think of it this way, not winning sure beats having your hotel room and your belongings go up in smoke. ;) Not that I needed to tell you that.

Glad you're back.

I guess that's one time that I would throw my money away on gambling.

Welcome back Hammer! Have never felt like going to LV, and your report kind of supports that feeling. Like the others up there, didn't know that TJ was still around. Glad the wife had a good time. Those drink prices remind me of Club Med. Same range.

I always liked Louie Anderson. He's like Sinbad, talking a lot about childhood stuff and antics that I totally relate to.

My Mom and Sis went to a Tom Jones concert many years ago. Younger Brother and I always sing "What's New Pussycat" at her. Always good for a laugh.

Glad you two got a chance to escape for a while.

Welcome back. I saw Louie Anderson when I lived in MN. Glad to hear that he still puts on a good show. BTW, what is a price for a show in Vegas?

Yeah, Tom Jones is one of those exceptions to the rules-- I don't want to see a 20-year old guy grab his junk in public, but I'm kind of okay with TJ doing it. Glad you had a good time. Jeez - I can't believe people pay that for the drinks, though - they can't be THAT good!
